well, what a stressful past few (insert time period). in considering the length of my hiatus, it became clear that i would need to present something important to warrant a return, and to be honest, the pressure really got to me. so then i thought i would wait for the anniversary of my last month's posting, then suddenly on the 23rd i remembered that i didn't actually make that last post, mike did, so the anniversary of *my* last post, had, in fact, already past. i have now decided to simply recap the past month or so and then resume my normal posting schedule, which is erratic and occasional, at best.

i visited the sacramento zoo, i saw the monks of gaden shartse.

i finally read that dave eggers book. saw tahoe. made it through san francisco yet again without losing my heart.

my brother got married.

had an adventure with zoloft. learned more than i think will come in handy about sun yat-sen. discovered that my tv family is the simpsons.

the lakers beat the sixers. hershey is *shocked* to hear reports of child slavery on cocoa plantations. and speaking of slavery...

i worked 17 weekend days plus one holiday between april 15 and today.
