Been Around The World

i have had an exciting couple of days. in the past 48 hours i've been through prague (oklahoma), stuttgart (arkansas), lebanon (tennessee), glasgow (virginia), and scotland (pennsylvania). i ate a whole carton of whoppers, a whole box of rice crispy treats, a whole tin of sour cream & onion pringles, and drank a 6 pack of water. in 25 hours i drove my brand new ford focus from duncan, oklahoma, where i was visiting my brother, to chester springs, pennsylvania, where i live. and my mom told me something that i actually turned out to be really thankful for. if you stop at a cracker barrel (those hokey country stores that are at every third exit on every interstate in the u.s.) and buy a book on tape/cd, you can listen to it and then return it to any other cracker barrel and get your money back. they will only charge you like $3 a week for it. i feel like i have been let in on an old folks' secret! not that my mom's old.

i'm going to sydney on friday. sydney, australia. that one's not a trick.

You want to hear something completely unrelated? I am looking out the front door of my office to a white wonderland of snow. Not supposed to stop snowing for a day or so. Isn't that bizarre? When you were here it was 60+ degrees outside, but now it is winter.

Ash...you realize I must kill you due to envy. Back when we were kids I was the most traveled person I knew...hell I still get to England and the rest of Europe every few years and I'm glad of it...and here you come all..."Well I'm off to Sydney, cherio " bah humbug (grin) but really you deserve 50 lashes with a wet noodle...Harlot! (grin) Eerrr excuse me I wasn't myself for a moment. It was the voices again...no it wasn't...yes it was. I better go.

That's the best travelling tip I've heard. Close runner up is zip-lock compression bags. Have a top time yeah? :c)

Duncan, eh? That's a might bit close to where my brother hails from nowadays: Ada. Nothing quite like Haliburton, OK.

Ash, are you popping over the Tasman ocean to visit NZ? I suspect it might be a bit late now.

I should check my email more often.
